We encourage all counselors located in the Greater Cincinnati area to join with your colleagues as members of the Greater Cincinnati Counseling Association. GCCA is one of the seven regional chapters of the Ohio Counseling Association (OCA) and includes the following Ohio counties: Adams, Brown, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Highland, and Warren.
There are many benefits to joining GCCA; membership in GCCA benefits both the individual counselor and the counseling profession. Joining GCCA offers members with a reduced cost to GCCA-sponsored continuing education opportunities, such as the annual Winter Workshop and spring/fall professional networking events. Additional benefits include the scholarships for graduate students, leadership opportunities, increased professional identity by participating in GCCA activities, and the ability to influence the counseling profession in the Greater Cincinnati area. GCCA members are also OCA members, which offers additional benefits, including a reduced cost to OCA-sponsored professional development opportunities, participation in the OCA listserv, receiving a quarterly newsletter, legislative advocacy opportunities, and recognition through an annual awards program.
